CIVIL War Soldier's Carved Piece Of Art Made At Libby Prison, Va
CIVIL WAR SOLDIER'S CARVED PIECE OF ART - MADE AT LIBBY PRISON, VA.. The carved piece was made by Civil War soldier, J. Mauk while at Libby Prison. Mauk was part of the first group to enter the fallen city of Richmomd. This amazing piece is accompanied by old typed notes stating it was carved in 1865.

The material appears to actually be a sort of soft stone. The carved piece appears to represent the area of Eastern Virginia. There is a red star that most likely shows where Richmond was located. Just an extremely rare and one of a kind piece.
