Original CDV of Daniel Carleton Clark (Born May 14, 1841) Co. K, 5th Maine Volunteers, who was wounded in. The Battle of Spotsylvania Courthouse on May 10, 1864, and died of his wounds at Fredricksburg, Virginia. Seven days later (May 17, 1864 - 3 days after his birthday). He's buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Portland.

NOTE: Another online reference states he was wounded at the Battle of the Wilderness on May 16. However, this does not match up with his gravestone date. The same source says that there is a stained.
